Read it and decide

"Natural Cures" should be split into two very different books. Trudeau starts to write a cure-all, revealing that most diseases from depression to diabetes to cancer are caused by radiation and toxins in the water, food, and air we're exposed to. He also blames ALL prescription and non-prescription drugs. He explains how to get healthy with natural cures. Some suggestions seem sound and worthy, like his detox and cleansing programs. Others seem anecdotal and from left field, like jumping on a rebounder, and using infrared saunas and getting hugs. And, I was disconcerted when he encouraged Scientology but did not encourage more involvement in one's own spirituality, organized faith, or belief system. You want to read hard evidence to back up any of his claims? Want to get his recommendations about any specific treatment that he was forced to hush in the book? Pay a lot of money to be a member on his website first. I was a bit disappointing to discover that.
"Natural Cures" then shifts gears from a healthy lifestyle book to a scathing expose aimed at virtually all government agencies, drug companies, healthcare providers, food manufacturers, charities and foundations, and advertisers for conspiring with Nazi-like deception and manipulation over our health. Their goal, he claims: to keep us sick, fat and needy for more of their toxic food and patented drugs. His mantra is: IT'S ALL ABOUT THE MONEY. Well Kevin, of course it is. It's no news flash that the patents on drugs mean big business, and that there is no profit in a cure. To quote a Peanuts comic strip from the late 1960's, Snoopy ponders: "I feel nervous ... uneasy ... any doctor will tell you that if you are tense or distraught, there is one sure way to feel better ... simply lie with your head in your water dish! This is hushed up, of course, because it would completely ruin the drug companies!"
Now, if Trudeau is correct and there truly is a conspiracy to deliberately make us sicker and fatter (like the tobacco industries knowingly made smokers addicted), it will be interesting to see what changes in the future.
The bottom line about the book: Yes, buy it. Just be careful as you read. Yes, clean living is healthier than toxic living. But can it CURE as Trudeau insists? Want to try some of his ideas prior to committing to long-term meds? Go ahead. They are safe and drug-free and in some cases, cheap. But do you want to spend MORE money on his website to get details? Personally, after introducing just a few changes from "Natural Cures", I lost some weight without really changing my diet and my eczema is gone. So some things might help and are worth trying. But I seriously doubt I'm immune to all diseases!

Some Good Points But Definitely Insults One's Intelligence

I think I would be rating this book at 1 star if I had paid more than $20 for this book. There are definitely some good points buried in the redundant babble and typos. Unfortunately, they could have been made in a quarter of the pages in this incessant monologue.
The FTC and FDA are definitely shady, just like the majority of the goverment, and everything is ALWAYS about the money... it isn't anything new. More case studies would have strengthened your argument, and justified the length of this book.
However, this did raise my awareness... on the normal American consumption of cheap, grabage food... and the 'easy fix' pills pharmaceutical companies keep pushing. I definitely pay more attention to the ** unbelievably frequent ** drug commercials on television, and to LISTEN to the disclaimers. So who cares if you can be nauseous, dizzy, raise your risk of liver damage (Crestor), cause birth defects, lower your libido, etc... because hey.. curing your allergies, cholestrol, depression or heartburn is just SO worth it. Right?

1) Toxic Body (meds, chlorine, floride, system)
2) Lack of Nutrients ('good' organic food, vitamins, pure water)
3) Electromagnetic Chaos (power lines, cell towers, microwaves)
4) Mental and Emotional Stress (traffic, pollution, horror media)
Healthy people have 3/4 odorless BMs a day, and do NOT HAVE: body odor, dandruff, skin problems, or depression... sleep soundly, and rarely experience illness, aches, or pains.
To achieve this.. you clean our your colon (herbal or irrigation), stop taking prescription or OTC drugs, stop ingesting floride (tap water and toothpaste), avoid absorbing chlorine (pools and shower), consume organic, raw foods, unpasteurized unhomogenized dairy products, and free range meat and eggs.
Avoid any food made by big business companies, they are interested in profit and will be shoving chemicals in whatever they produce to increase profits, over public health.
Walk an hour or more a day.
Jump on a 'rebounder' (mini-trampoline).
Drink 1/2 your body weight (in ounces) of distilled water.
Take coral calcium, natural vitamin E (and mangosteen juice)
The goofy stuff - use magnets... avoiding newspapers (stress)

Other stuff, how hydrogen therapy and other alternative treatments can cure cancer, etc... you can research online. Its okay in some areas and the rest sometimes make one think this guy is a little overboard. The statements seem a little odd, and the numbers inaccurate, with no citation or footnotes to support his claims regarding scientific studies or report findings, which would make the numbers more credible (i.e claims on deaths linked to Vioxx, etc).
Last thing... Kevin, you should have proofed this book (a lot of typos and redundancy) and taken a poll on HOW ANNOYING the neverending pimping of your website is... seriously.

I think it's awesome that NATURAL CURES "They" Don't Want You To Know About
by Kevin Trudeau is shaking up awareness about Health Freedom and how we can
approach our health. Health and vitality and our freedom to BE healthy affects our success in being alive.
Health Freedom is like religious freedom. It is an UNALIENABLE right.
Like many other corporate agendas , our health freedom has
become politicized and monetized. The International Pharma-cartel is global and has intense lobbying power around the world. It has huge budgets for
lobbying Congress people and Senators, and politicians world wide.
( See the film , THE CONSTANT GARDENER) Why is it OK to keep drugs on the
market that kill people, or make them suicidal, violent or have horrible side effects?
We are more valuable to the medical industry and pharmaceutical corporations sick than healthy.
Connect the dots and follow the $$$.
Kevin Trudeau is re-awakening people to old knowledge, and new.
So what if he's a good business man . There is nothing wrong with making money. What he is saying is still true. It is also true that the FDA has laws against making health claims or claims that supplements, herbs and alternative therapies can can cure disease. These are facts than can be researched.
Everything Kevin Trudeu says about the FDA can be researched based on
current legislation or legislation that has already been passed. If you look at the amount of money received
by U.S. politicians from the global pharma-cartel, it is shocking and staggering.
Read Kevin Trudeau's book with an open mind. His intentions are honorable. Our health is
one of out greatest freedoms. The medical and pharma cartel have a vested interest
in keeping people sick and dependent on doctors and drugs.
I know- the truth hurts but it's our life . How much do we value it? Health is Wealth, and peace of mind is
happiness ! Do you really want huge
corporations and medical systems to make decisions about how you live , how healthy you are and how you
die? HE wrote these books BEFORE Obamacare. Maybe it's time for another look at Kevin Trudeau's writing.
Kevin Trudeau is just getting us to look at things from a different perspective. Why does that make some people so angry?
Maybe you should check the annual salary of some
doctors and CEO''s of the pharmaceutical giants before you come down so hard on someone who is trying to shine a light on your health freedom and freedom of choice in what you do with your body.
There is room in the world for people who believe in allopathic medicine and for
people who believe in alternative medicine Thanks, Kevin
for showing us we have many choices !
