The book will unsettle and disturb you ... it will make your stomach churn ... it will tug at your heartstrings .. and it will make you cry ... because it is an honest and realistic account of how a minimum 0f 750,000 children in the UK alone - every year - suffer physical, psychological, sexual and emotional abuse at the hands of the significant males in their mother's lives. I am a social work and psychology professional of 25 years standing, and I am desperate that every social work and health professional reads this book ... I believe the information and knowledge within its pages could prevent another 'Baby 'P' in the future - I plead with you to read it as soon as possible!!
About the Author
Pat Craven is a qualified social worker and probation officer. In 1999 she created the Freedom Programme for survivors of domestic abuse to women. In 2008 she published ‘Living with the Dominator’ a book about male violence to women. In 2011 she wrote the companion book, ‘The Freedom Programme Home Study Course’ for women who could not access the Freedom Programme. The book ‘Freedom’s Flowers’ was inspired by the session of the Freedom Programme which focuses on the effects of domestic abuse on children.

Freedom from abuse for children

It is never ok to stay with the abuser it never works out to be ok life spirals out of normal increasingly malignant multiplying sick patterns of behavior for every one involved. The hope & love achingly longed for tightens the noose & keeps the abused person trapped. What a great book pat cravens!! I will recommend this book to anyone experiencing any kind of abuse,
